The Coes built a variety of estates to suit their lifestyle during the early 20th century. In addition to Planting Fields, they had homes in Yemassee, South Carolina, Cody, Wyoming, and Palm Beach, Florida. Each site’s architecture, interior design, and landscape reflected the Coe’s interests. The Coe children continued this tradition during the midcentury with their homes on Long Island, Denmark, Frances, and Italy.
