About

The Round Lake Library has been serving the Malta, NY community since opening on July 6, 1897 as The Free Library and Reading Room, with 400 books donated by residents of the village of Round Lake. The library now operates out of two branches: the original Clark House location in the village of Round Lake, and the Malta Branch, which opened in 2009 in the David R. Meager Community Center.

The Round Lake Library is working in collaboration with the Village of Round Lake and Village Historian to digitize and improve access to our shared collections of historical items related to the village's origins as a Methodist Summer Camp and development into the unique Victorian-style village it is today.

Round Lake Library is a member of the Southern Adirondack Library System and the Capital District Library Council.

The library's mailing address is: PO Box 665 , Round Lake NY 12151
