Established in February 1969, the Cayuga County Historian’s Office holds and preserves a wide array of county-related documents dating from the 1750s to the present day. The Historian's office houses and maintains a collection including, but not limited to:

The Cayuga County Historian’s Office provides academic, historical, and genealogical research to local and world-wide researchers through in-person visitation and mail requests.
Cayuga County Historian's Office is a member of the South Central Regional Library Council.
