Buffalo and Erie County Public Library - Lancaster Public Library

Lancaster's first library was organized in 1821 by veterans of the Revolution and the War of 1812. The current building was completed in 1976 and houses approximately 60,000 volumes. The library has a large non-circulating local history collection about the Village and Town of Lancaster and the surrounding area.
