About
Originally established in 1908 as the New York State School of Agriculture at Morrisville, it eventually joined the State University of New York public college system as a founding member in 1948 and was renamed to SUNY Morrisville.
The library was named for the college's fourth president, Donald G. Butcher, and is an innovative learning environment dedicated to empowering all members of the college community to become confident and independent thinkers guided by the effective use of information resources. The library provides access to over 50,000 print books, 30,000 ebooks, and over 100 digital databases featuring 100,00+ periodicals and online reference materials.
SUNY Morrisville is a member of the Central New York Library Resources Council.
