Basket Historical Society of the Upper Delaware Valley

Basket Historical Society of the Upper Delaware Valley works to collect, preserve and share the history and legends of the towns of Fremont in Sullivan County and Hancock in Delaware County and their environs. BHS earned its non-profit status in 1984, and maintains a museum in Long Eddy containing displays, artifacts, photographs and reference materials about the people and industry of the region. The official publication of BHS, The Echo newsletter, began circulating in 1980 and is now published three times a year.
