From 1974 to 1978, Jericho Public Library’s local history librarian, Sheila Lesnick, embarked on an oral history project that captured the history of Jericho through the voices of its residents. There are additional oral histories collected by Betsey Murphy.

These audio recordings were digitized and uploaded to New York Heritage thanks to the Jericho Public Library's partnership with LILRC’s Accessing Archives Program in 2025.
