Historical Context

Elmira College was established in 1855 as a college for educating women and conferring degrees equivalent to those awarded to men. Men were accepted in 1968-69. There are over one hundred years’ worth of information relating to academics, music, visual and performing arts, athletics, social service efforts, and social activities in the yearbooks

 

Scope of Collection

This collection holds the Elmira College yearbooks, known as The Iris, from 1879-2016.  The years 1900 and 1903 are not among the College-owned set. Please note that the uploading of the yearbooks is still in process. We hope to have the entire run posted by Fall of 2025.
