Historical Context

William Wallace Farley (June 4, 1874 - May 21, 1952) was a politician and lawmaker who was the chairman of the New York State Democratic Party from 1919 to 1921. He was a colleague and contemporary of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Alfred E. Smith, and other important figures in New York State politics at the turn of the twentieth century. Part of the property of his former Loudonville home is currently part of the Siena University campus.
