Historical Context

The Owen D. Young School District was established in 1930 when Owen D. Young constructed the Van Hornesville Central School in Van Hornesville, NY, consolidating all the small rural schools in the surrounding area.  In 1963, the school was renamed Owen D. Young Central School in his honor.

Scope of Collection

This collection contains high school yearbooks from Owen D. Young Central School.  The Yearbook Collection is part of the Jordanville Library Local History Reference Collection.  Contact the library for further information.

We are currently accepting donations of yearbooks from The Owen D. Young High School.  The yearbooks should be in good condition, but can have messages and signatures in them.  The yearbooks can be dropped off at the Jordanville Public Library during library hours, at 189 Main Street, Jordanville, New York.
