Historical Context

Northport is a village located on the North Shore of Long Island within the County of Suffolk and the Town of Huntington. Northport is known for its secluded deep-water harbor, beautiful parks and beaches. The library also services the Village of Asharoken, the hamlet of Eatons Neck and the hamlet of East Northport.

Scope of Collection

The collection consists of historical markers located throughout the community. These blue and gold signs represent people, businesses, homes, churches and other locations of historical significance.
